Preaching sermons remains important even with the technology we have available today and the media driven culture we live in. At Rocky, we try to remember that the Bible is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit while preaching is illumined by the Spirit. Or to state it slightly differently, Jesus Christ is the word of God in essence, while Scripture and preaching are God’s word in his energies. God meets with us as His people gather together to sit under the preaching of the word. Preaching delivers the word that God so often uses to change our hearts and lives.
